Whether you're a frequent mayor or a casual user, you've found value in Foursquare—but you've probably also experienced some frustration. For example, when trying to check into a venue with a weak mobile signal, GPS can be slow (or unable) to pinpoint your location. When there are multiple venues in the same location, it becomes Scrollfest 2010 when trying to find the right one. And then there are duplicate locations locations locations—and who knows which copy of the venue listed is the real one. Issues like these complicate the check-in process and leave us staring at our phones longer than we should.

quiQR promises a quick, one-step process. A user holds an iPhone running quiQR up to a venue's conveniently placed QR code and the app automatically detects the code and launches Foursquare, showing the check-in screen for that specific venue. No waiting, no searching, no scrolling.

quiQR now reads QR codes that deep link to other iPhone Apps like Foursquare, YouTube, Tweetie, and Facebook.  For example, if you scan a Foursquare QR code for a venue, you are instantly taken to the venue check-in page in the Foursquare App. Try scanning a Foursquare check-in QR code with quiQR

All of your created QR codes are now stored in a history list so you can edit or share your QR codes.  We have also added the ability to share QR code results to Twitter and Facebook.

quiQR version 1.8 for the iPhone has been released on the App Store!  In this version, users can now decode images from their photo library in addition to the real-time decoding from the camera.

Based on user feedback, we have also updated the 'create' section of the app to not clear the text fields upon selection.  This makes it much easier to edit your QR codes as you are creating them.
